Science-Fiction Adventure in the Far Future
Di-Hydrate-Tetra-Caffeine
Drug

Di-Hydrate-Tetra-Caffeine (generic name Tetra-Caffeinate) is a medical drug also known as Wake. The drug temporarily reduces the need for sleep allowing humans to remain awake for up to two weeks.

The drawback is that the body needs to make up those lost sleeping hours at some point, and a temporary loss of constitution and wisdom is a consequence of this drug.

The drug, commonly known as Wake is marketed by several corporations under various brand-names including Caffeinate and Caffex-3.

The drug should only be administered by qualified medical personnel and requires dosing every twelve hours at the start of a regimen, decreasing by one hour every twenty-four. Each dose costs approx. Cr.2,000, and is often listed as a restricted drug on higher law level worlds.
